The HP KEYMARK was accepted immediately in France, where the law requires data from ISO compatible certification systems, and it has been included in the BAFA list for subsidies in Germany. The HP KEYMARK scheme is also recognised as a proof of ErP compliance in the Czech list of products that can benefit from the government incentives, and can be used in Slovakia to demonstrate conformity with the technical requirements set by the subsidy programme 2019-2023.

In AustriaPoland, and Switzerland, the EHPA Quality Label requirements are recognized. However, for HP KEYMARK certificate holders, the application process to EHPA QL is extremely simple as no further testing is required.

Moreover, the HP KEYMARK certificate can be used in Finland, Norway, Sweden, Slovenia, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Spain, and Wallonia, where no product certification is required for heat pump subsidies.

In Ireland, the HP KEYMARK is an acceptable source of Ecodesign data for heat pumps and is used in the publication of energy performance certificates and building regulation compliance checks. The Irish HARP database is in the process of being updated to include the HP KEYMARK certified products.

The inclusion of HP KEYMARK certified products in the product eligibility list (PEL) for the domestic renewable heat incentive in the UK was recently approved and HP KEYMARK certificate holders can now apply for having their products listed on the MID database.

In Denmark, HP KEYMARK certified heat pumps can be used to get access to public subsidies based on their full compliance with the ErP regulations.

HP KEYMARK products are currently not recognised by the Danish Energy Agency’s list of heat pumps (Varmepumpelisten)which provides homeowners with an overview of energy efficient heat pumps whose performance is documented by third party full SCOP testing; however, the eligibility for subsidies in Denmark is not linked to the Varmepumpelisten in any way.

Discussion is ongoing for the acceptance of the HP KEYMARK in the Netherlands.
