The Heat Pump KEYMARK was accepted immediately in France, where the law requires data from ISO compatible certification systems, and it has been included in the BAFA list for subsidies in Germany. The Heat Pump KEYMARK scheme is also recognised as a proof of ErP compliance in the Czech list of products that can benefit from the government incentives, and can be used in Slovakia to demonstrate conformity with the technical requirements set by the subsidy programme 2019-2023.

In Austria and Switzerland, where the EHPA Quality Label (QL) is a reference, the Heat Pump KEYMARK certification greatly facilitates the application process to obtain the EHPA QL. It is relatively simple as no further testing is required for Heat Pump KEYMARK certified equipment.

In Ireland, the Heat Pump KEYMARK is an acceptable source of Ecodesign data for heat pumps and is used in the publication of energy performance certificates and building regulation compliance checks. The Irish HARP database is in the process of being updated to include the Heat Pump KEYMARK certified products.

The inclusion of Heat Pump KEYMARK certified products in the product eligibility list (PEL) for the domestic renewable heat incentive in the UK was approved and Heat Pump KEYMARK certificate holders can now apply for having their products listed on the MID database.

In Denmark, Heat Pump KEYMARK certified heat pumps can be used to get access to public subsidies based on their full compliance with the ErP regulations.

Finally, acceptance of the Heat Pump KEYMARK in the Netherlands is effective since January 2023.

Moreover, the Heat Pump KEYMARK certificate can be referred to in several European countries, where no specific product certification is required for heat pump subsidies or market surveillance.
