Since 2015, the daily and administrative management of the KEYMARK has been outsourced to an external organization. Following an open call for tender launched at the beginning of 2014, a selection procedure took place, which resulted at the end of 2014 to the decision to use DIN CERTCO as the KEYMARK Management Organization (KMO) on behalf of CEN. The contact between CEN and the KMO is limited for a period of two years and will be renewed after positive assessment of the KMOs work by the different stakeholders. The rights and duties of KMO are as follows (in France in close cooperation with AFNOR Certification):
Administration
- Empowerment of certification bodies
- Decisions on new KEYMARK certification schemes
- Keep the CEN database updated
- Monitoring and collection of the license fees
- Regularly report and proposals to CEN Certification Board (CCB)
Management
- Expansion and strategic development of the KEYMARK
- Marketing and promotion
- Support in legal protection of KEYMARK
- Experience exchange with interested parties
